River Rafting Expeditions in Uttarakhand

Kali Sharda Rafting Expedition
Trip Highlights
The river Kali originates in the Pithoragah district of Uttarakhand and forms a natural eastern boundary between India and Nepal. The river is named after the Goddess Kali but when it descends in the plains and meets up with the Saryu river it is called Sarda or Sharda.
Put-in point for rafting would vary on the season.

  1. Jauljibi / Jhulaghat for pre-snowmelt season  (March / April)
  2. Pancheswar for post-snowmelt season (May / June or Mid-Sept / Oct / Nov)

Besides being a put-in point for rafting, Pancheswar is also a famous fishing site for the mighty Masheer and one could combine the rafting expedition with an angling trip.

The Itinerary given below is for the pre-snow melt starting at Jhulaghat and ending at Boom.
